Questions and Answers

Below you will find answers to many common questions about Delta Zeta Founders Day Challenge.

What is the Founders Day Challenge and why should I support it?

Founders Day of Giving is a 24 hour event to support Delta Zeta. 24 hours of Delta Zetas and friends supporting educational opportunities, scholarships and programming which benefits our members. This is an international effort to inspire current members, alumnae, parents and friends of Delta Zeta to make a gift of any size to the Foundation.

It is also an opportunity to encourage your Delta Zeta sisters to get involved - invite them to follow along with #TrulyGiving, encourage them to sign up to be an Ambassador, and of course - support us on that day!

How can I help connect other Delta Zetas to the Founders Day Challenge?

We need your help to reach thousands of sisters, friends and family members who truly love Delta Zeta. Signing up to be an Ambassador and encouraging others to give graciously on October 24 is one of the best ways to help!

We will provide you with training and content to share leading up to October 24, 2019 and throughout the day on the Founders Day Challenge. Today, you just need to sign up to serve as an Ambassador and let us take care of the rest!

I want to create a Challenge or Match Gift for the Founders Day Challenge - what do I do?

Please contact Alicia Favata, Director of Advancement: afavata@deltazeta.org. Match and challenge gifts are vital to the success of the Founders Day Challenge and we are excited to discuss your idea further.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes! The Delta Zeta Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization and all gifts made on March 1 are tax-deductible.

Will I receive a receipt?

Yes! You will receive an email confirmation receipt almost immediately after giving online on March 1. You will also receive a mailed thank you letter and receipt following #TrulyGiving.

Can I make an automatic, recurring gift?

Yes! Your first gift will be processed during #TrulyGiving and will support our Day of Giving efforts. After that, your gift will continue to be processed on the date you select.

I am already supporting the Delta Zeta Foundation through a recurring gift, pledge or plan to give my gift at a different time. Will those gifts help support #TrulyGiving?

Unfortunately, no. Only gifts made on October 24 will count towards #TrulyGiving… we encourage you to join with many other Delta Zeta sisters and support our organization on October 24!
